After producing a string of stellar earnings reports where they beat earnings, revenues, and guided higher for 7 consecutive quarters, AAPL has struggled to keep up with analyst estimates for the last 4 quarters. Although they have continued to beat earnings estimates, the company has missed revenue estimates and guided lower in 3 of the last 4 quarters. Below is a historical table of APPL's last 15 earnings reports along with the one-day price changes on those days. As the stock has sold off for the better part of the year now (down 23.66% ytd), investors will definitely be looking for the stock to return to the winner it was in '03, '04, and '05. For those that believe too much bad news is priced into the stock, an even slightly upbeat report could ignite some resurgence.
Lets update to beat, beat, lower
